If the Use Modified Program Defaults option has been ticked on the Design Assumptions tab, then the Defaults tab will appear. This will allow you to alter and add some default design values relating to the loads and deflections of the beams, which will be used when checking the beam designs.
The load factors for Dead, Super Imposed Dead and Live loads can be changed for the serviceability load cases and the vibration check, if deemed necessary.
You can also set the concrete load to be a live load during the construction stage checks, since the concrete has yet to set.

The program uses a recommended construction load of 0.75 kN/m2, a deck and mesh self weight of 0.2 kN/m2 and a natural frequency of 4 Hertz. These can be modified if required.
Deflection span/ limits can be set for various load groupings, including Live, Super + Live, Dead + Super + Live and Dead only. These results will appear in the calculations. A pre-camber on the dead load deflection can also be included.
You can define whether you want the services and partition loads to be seen as live loading or superimposed dead loading. Your defaults can be saved as a user set using the save icon at the bottom of the screen. The defaults can also be reset to either the original program defaults or to a previously saved user set.
