Integrated Design

MasterBeam Composite Beam Designer can be integrated with a full MasterFrame 3D structural model. The model will produce the moments and forces the composite beams are required to carry and can therefore the beams can be subsequently designed as part of the overall mixed material model. The loads are applied as area loads on the floors of the model. The floor slab can be solid units or profiled decking. From the input information the program will detect the amount of slab available to act in conjunction with the beams to give composite action.

If the model is altered the effects will follow through into the composite design thus saving time having to re-enter data into the composite design module.
