MasterKey Concrete Design Methodology

The procedure for using MasterKey Concrete is as follows;

1.Generate frame defining appropriate conc section properties, loading etc using:

a)MasterFrame; or

b)MasterFrame Flatslab Construction; or

c)MasterPort; or

d)MasterBeam Concrete Beam Designer

2.Analyse frame.

3.Load Concrete Design from the Design menu of the program.

4.Set default Options for grades, bars, methods etc.

5.Close the Basic Data & Defaults window.

6.Select to automatically design all members.

7.View and modify member designs as required.

8.Print out results.

9.Export drawings.

Important Note

The direction of members is critical.  All members are displayed with the lower node number on the left-hand side of the screen.  It is advisable to ensure that all nodes are numbered as follows.

X-Axis: Left to Right           

Y-Axis: Bottom to Top           

Z-Axis: Front to Back            

Beams must be horizontal and loaded in the major, vertical axis, i.e. no bi-axial bending.
