Toolbar Menu

The Toolbar menu contains a number of quick selection tools for printing and viewing the various design information for a connection design brief, along with tools to control the graphically displayed information in the graphics pane. The Toolbar menu also contains options for creating new files, selecting and opening previous files and saving the current file.

The tool bar menu is shown below.

The toolbar menu options are as detailed below. The Toolbar icons are grouped into distinct areas which provide the following functionality.

Print Design Outputs

 - Project Title and Job reference

 - Print Current design brief

 - Print ALL design briefs

 - Export Current Design brief to Word

- Export ALL design briefs to Word

Connection Graphics

- View full graphics. Zoom to the extents of the graphics

- Zoom in on current graphics view

- Zoom out of current graphics view

- Zoom to Window. Hold the left mouse button and window the area of interest in the graphics pane

- Pan mode. Hold the left mouse button and drag the cursor to control the direction and amount of pan, release the left mouse button to activate the pan.

 - Lock the autoscale of the graphics

Graphics Display

 - Draw Filled Section and Plates. Shades the section and plates in the graphics display area.

 - Draw full bolts. In cross-section, draws the full bolts including the bolt head and nuts.

 - Show/Hide connection dimensions

 - Show/Hide sections

 - Show/Hide weld symbols

File and Brief creation/selection

 - Create a new file

 - Open existing file

 - Save current file

 - Cut. Delete the currently displayed design brief.

 - Go to the first design brief

 - Move to previous brief

 - Move to next brief

 - Move to last brief

 - Copy and Append brief. Creates a new brief which is a copy of the current selected brief

 - Import joint from another file. Allows a connection created previously to be imported.
