Snap Points

We can also click on snap points along the length of an existing member. For example, third points or mid-points or a variety of other points measured along the length of the member.

These are switched on/off using the snap settings. The interval of tracking along a member can also be reduced to a smaller interval, for example 0.1m.

Where a dimension starts to appear along the member, we can type in a specific dimension to start from that particular point. Type the dimension and then press ‘return’ and the snap point is set.

Snap points show favouritism – third and mid points will take priority over just moving along a member at the preset interval.
