Additional Reinforcement

The additional reinforcement tab allows the parameters controlling the design of the top and side reinforcement to be set. This includes the definition of the style of side bars as well as providing option controlling the detailing of the top reinforcement bars.

The layout of the additional reinforcement input area is shown below.

The input parameters are:

Side bars –

Diameter – specifies the side bar diameter.

Spacing – defines the spacing in mm of the side bars.

Style – set the detailing style for the side bars.

Top Steel –

Make the bottom steel into links – specify the top and bottom bars as links.

Provide upper cage – provide top reinforcement

Diameter – specifies the size of the top reinforcement bars

Spacing – define the top reinforcement centres
