FE Wall Design - Overview
The FE Shear Wall Design module provides tools to automate the design process for reinforced concrete shear walls which have been modelled and analysed using MasterFrameFE, where the walls are subjected to vertical forces, in-plane loading from lateral forces and forces associated with the interaction with slabs. This is done by notionally dividing the walls into one of two types of design type. The design calculations compile the results for each ultimate limit load case for each design ‘zone’ to produce a ULS design envelope which the design is based on. The two types of design region or zone are:
1. Wall Pier
2. Coupler Beam
