To add a new pier zone, first click on the icon. A Wall Pier Zone item will appear in theRebar Set Name area and some initial Basic Data will appear listed in the design calculations area. The next stage is to highlight the FE surface that the new pier zone will be associated (or partly associated with if the pier is to extend beyond this) by placing the cursor near the boundary of the FE surface in the graphics window. The FE surface is selected by clicking with the left mouse button. Next, the pier needs to be created using the Place Mode options which control how the pier is created. With the desired placement mode set, click on the icon, and draw the required extent of the wall pier. Once done, the calculations area will populate with the design calculations and the wall pier setup will show in the wall pier properties panel. The layout of the screen is shown below.
