To add a new coupler beam zone, first click on the icon. A Wall Beam Zone item will appear in the Wall Beam Zone Design Set area and some initial Basic Data will appear listed in the design calculations area. The next stage is to highlight the FE surface that the new Wall Beam set will be associated (or partly associated) with by placing the cursor near the boundary of the FE surface in the graphics window. The FE surface is selected by clicking with the left mouse button. Next, the wall beam needs to be created using the Place Mode options which controls how the wall beam is defined. With the desired placement mode set, click on the icon, and draw the required extent of the wall beam. Once done, the calculations area will populate with the design calculations and the wall beam setup will show in the coupler beam properties panel. The layout of the screen is shown below.
