Auto Design

The auto design area provides options for carryout out and controlling the auto design for the pier and coupler beam zones assigned within a model.

The layout of the Auto Design area is shown below:

The auto design defaults can be accessed from the  icon. This opens the following menu

This area can also be accessed from the  icon. The option are covered in the Shear Wall Design Basic Data and Defaults section.

The Auto design options allow the auto design to be carried out for the following selections:

Selected – the currently selected pier or coupler beams. Holding Ctrl and left clicking allows multiple zones to be selected either graphically or in the Rebar Set Name area

All Sets – carries out the auto design for all wall piers or Coupler Beams, depending on which set is currently selected

All – carries out the auto design for all sets, that is, both the wall pier and coupler beam sets

Any pier or beam zones which have the Auto Design option set to ‘No’ are excluded from the auto design, regardless of which of the above options is selected.

When the Visible Only option is selected, the above options apply to only those zones currently displayed in the graphics window.
