Drafting in MasterCAD

MasterCAD: Portal Frames is a separate program for the automatic generation of general arrangement drawings for space and plane portal frames, including plans, elevations, sections, skewed sections, and 3D solid models. All drawings are complete with grid lines, centre lines, dimensions, and connection details.

MasterCAD drawings are generated in the form of a DXF file compatible with AutoCAD, and AutoCAD LT, and other drafting systems.

Some of the features of MasterCAD have already been used in MasterPort to modify the ends of members in the frame and to add endplates, etc. MasterCAD can be further used to modify the ends of member if required, although the MasterPort program is sufficiently intelligent to have carried out virtually all of this work for you.

To enter MasterCAD, from the main MasterPort menu, go to Drafting > MasterCAD: Portal Frames.

Clicking on any part of the frame will highlight the detail at that new position.
